The Sound Of Biscuits – The Musical was performed on Friday 24th March 2023 at Upstairs At The Western as part of Leicester Comedy Festival.
This improvised musical was set in the town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch where Fred and Daphne mourn the loss of their biscuit factory. Production of chocolate digestives has moved to the ‘more modern’ town of Hunstanton.
However, Fred and Daphne befriend some sentient drones who help them steal a hydraulic press from the local Freeport at East Midlands Airport. This is then brought to Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Biscuit production resumes and Fred proposes to Daphne by putting a hole in the first chocolate digestive to come out of the press, and using it as an engagement ring.
